Burnley Football Club have confirmed a pre-season training trip to Évian-les-Bains in south eastern France. The location is right on the border with Switzerland.

The Clarets will be away between Monday, July 11 and Saturday, July 16.
They enjoyed a pre-season sojourn at the same location last summer. This time, the six-day break will end with a friendly matchup with Swiss side FC Stade Nyonnais on Friday, July 15.

The match venue is the Swiss outfit's 7,200-seater Stade de Colovray in Nyon, located on the north western tip of Lake Geneva (kick off 7.30pm local time).

Admission to the game will be 15 Swiss Francs (around £10), 10 Swiss Francs (around £7.10) for over-60s and no charge for U16s.

FC Stade Nyonnais, a semi-professional team, operate in the third tier of Swiss competition, in the same league as last summer’s friendly opponents, Étoile Carouge.

They lost their second tier status in 2012 following a divisional reshuffle that saw a total of six teams relegated in one season.

FC Stade Nyonnais will also host Sunderland and Sporting Lisbon as part of their respective pre-season campaigns.

The game becomes the fifth announced by the Clarets ahead of their return to the Premier League.
