Cisak stars in Orient draw

They brought their first Easter fixture forward to the previous Wednesday and beat Coventry 1-0 at the Ricoh. A clean sheet then for but it was his performance against Gillingham yesterday that had his manager at Orient enthusing.

Having taken the lead, Orient came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3, this after conceding those three goals in a 21 minute spell either side of half time.

Cisak (pictured) made a string of outstanding saves in the game and Orient boss, Fabio Liverani, said of him: "It was a very important performance by our goalkeeper because we have to thank him for the result at the end. He is on loan for the remainder of the season and he is very important for us."

Asked if he would like to sign him on a permanent basis, Liverani added: "He is not our player and so it is up to his own club, but we will see at the end of the season if anything can be planned for the future."

Luke O'Neill missed both games with the injury that forced him off in their previous game against Port Vale and former Claret Marvin Bartley was left out of the more recent game having started the previous two.

Recent results have lifted them out of the relegation positions in League One but only just. They are now 20th and ahead of Crewe on goal difference.

Another Claret embroiled in a relegation battle is Danny Lafferty at Rotherham. His side won 1-0 yesterday against Brighton. The result confirmed Blackpool's relegation and gives Rotherham a seven point advantage over Millwall who occupy the third from bottom place in the table.

Easter Monday was a big day for Jason Gilchrist. After three substitute appearances he was rewarded with his first ever Football League start for Accrington in their home game against Carlisle. He played the first hour before making way for Seamus Conneely. They led 1-0 at the time and went on to win 3-1.

Things didn't go too well for Southport in the Conference and they lost both Easter games against Altrincham on Friday and Telford yesterday, but they provided Steven Hewitt with his first two starts for the club on loan.

He played the full 90 minutes in the first of them but was withdrawn at half time in their defeat yesterday when he was replaced by David Fitzpatrick.
