Cisak extends Leyton Orient stay

Cisak joined Leyton Orient on 2nd February on a one month emergency loan deal in what proved to be our only business on transfer deadline day. The loan was until today, 9th March, but today the two clubs agreed to extend that until 3rd May.

He's been a regular in their side since moving to London and has played well until his mistake cost them the game against Peterborough on Saturday. His overall form though has meant they were keen to keep hold of him with the recent game his seventh appearance.

This loan follows the almost three months he spent at York earlier in the season, from October into January, during which time he played ten League One games.

His appearances at Burnley have been limited since he signed from Oldham in the summer of 2013. He came on as a substitute at Brighton early last season when Tom Heaton was sent off and then played in the Capital One Cup tie against Preston three days later with Heaton suspended.

Once the extension had been confirmed, Cisak said: "I am happy to have extended my stay and get a few more games under my belt.

"Unfortunately we didn't get the results in the last two games, but we need to get some more wins. We have got three big games coming up in a short space of time, starting with Yeovil on Saturday.

"I have been in a relegation battle before with Oldham so I have experienced it before and hopefully I can bring that knowledge of when we stayed up there to the boys here. Last year was a different experience for the boys here, but we all have to stick together and with the fans on our side we can get some more wins under our belt."

He has become the second of our players to commit to Leyton Orient for the remainder of the season after Luke O'Neill, who made his debut for them against Rotherham on Saturday, signed a similar deal last week.

Meanwhile, Danijel Nizic remains with the first team squad at Burnley as third choice goalkeeper.
