Chester loan for Whitmore

The 20-year-old Geordie has been with the Clarets since the summer of 2012 when he joined on a two year scholarship and is now set to get his first taste of first team football having come through the youth team and played in the development squad.

He might not have to wait too long either. Chester have a home game tonight at the Deva Stadium against Dover and have confirmed that he's going straight into Steve Burr's squad for the game.

It could be a tough game for Chester who currently lie 13th in the table with 29 points from their 22 games, which includes a 0-0 draw at Dover earlier in the season.

Their opponents are very much in the promotion chase and are currently in fourth place with 39 points, behind Grimsby on goal difference but a few points behind the top two Cheltenham and Forest Green.

It's a first opportunity for Alex to go on loan and Clarets Mad wish him well during his month at Chester.
