The Clarets have won away at Bradford City in a comfortable 4-1 encounter at Valley Parade.

Last season's leading SKY Bet Championship goalscorer Andre Gray doubled his preseason strike tally to give Burnley an unassailable lead after only 17 minutes.

Goals from Gray in the 15th and 17th minutes sent Burnley on their way to victory on yet another Saturday afternoon in the Yorkshire sunshine.

A third goal after 20 minutes headed home by Ben Mee from a David Jones corner settled the Roses encounter for the Premier League's Turf Moor outfit.

Bradford scored a consolation goal on the stroke of halftime but Michael Kightly capitalised on some dreadful home side defending to seal a comfortable Clarets' victory late in the second half.

New signing Nick Pope made an encouraging second half debut in the Burnley goal.
