It is believed Burnley Football Club are all set to make up to £60m available to Clarets' gaffer Sean Dyche, as they seek to hold their own in the Premier League for the first time.

The proposed transfer kitty demonstrates the financial muscle of the teams involved in the English Premier League. It also emphasises Burnley’s determination not to fall straight back into the SKY Bet Championship.

Burnley have been promoted twice previously to the top flight of English football. The Premier League beckoned for the Clarets in the  2009-10 and 2014-15 seasons but failure to stay afloat brought immediate relegation.

Sean Dyche bounced the Clarets back at the first attempt last season and now the Burnley board are ready to open the cheque book and get behind the highly regarded Burnley boss.

There is perhaps a media perception that bringing players to Turf Moor has been difficult in the past.  All that seems about to change, Sean Dyche’s burgeoning reputation, added to the huge war chest and Burnley are looking to consolidate their place in the top flight of English soccer.

Dyche recently alluded to the difficulty and said: “We’ll be written off immediately, we know that.

“As Champions they’ll say ‘they won’t do this, they won’t do that’, the usual, but that’s part of the game we love.

“It’s all about opinion, the idea, the thought, discussion, it’s all part of what the game is.

“We believe in what we do here and we’ll look to affect things during the summer and into the pre-season and we’ll see where we go with it.”

Burnley have several transfer targets set firmly in their sights. Clarets Mad recently reported on the Claret's interest in local lad Oliver Norwood.

The Former Manchester United starlet is currently on duty with the Northern Ireland squad in France for the European Championships.

Norwood has not dismissed the suggestion out of hand commenting, “If it does arise, though, you never know. One day I would love to play for Burnley.

“I don’t know if it will happen any time soon but it’s something that I would always like to do.

“Everyone knows I like Burnley.”

Exciting times are on the horizon for Clarets' fans everywhere (TEC).
