Bolton at home in Carling Cup

Last updated : 28 August 2010 By Tony Scholes

It is the draw that some Burnley fans desperately wanted and one that others would have preferred to have been avoided, but Burnley v Bolton it is. Still, at least it is a home draw, bringing an end to a run of eight away draws since we played Arsenal at home in this competition in December 2008.

It is a first ever game against Bolton in this competition and the draw means a return for the manager who walked out last January and a return for a number of staff members, one whose hairs on the back of his neck will stand up so much does he love the club he's now walked out on twice.

The game will be played in week commencing 20th September.
