Blow for Lynchy

Loan players Chris Lynch and Adam Kay were in the Chester side but for Lynch, in his tenth appearance, it ended early when he was forced off with an injury.

Wrexham fielded two former Clarets in Frank Sinclair and Gareth Taylor with Lynch in direct opposition to the latter but with just over twenty minutes gone was forced off with a knee injury.

Chester boss Mick Wadsworth fears that Lynch will now be heading back to Burnley with his loan cut short and said after the game: "It looks like a serious injury, sadly, but I hope it's not. It's a big blow for him and a big blow for us because he's an outstanding player."

Our two young professionals joined Chester after they had suffered two hammerings at the beginning of a season that started late for them. In ten games since they've conceded just eight goals with Lynchy in the centre of defence.
