It was party time in Cardiff last month for Wales who qualified for their first tournament since they went to the World Cup in 1958. That's not news to please former Claret Leighton James who has been upset, probably angry too knowing Taffy, that the team he played in reached the quarter-finals of the Euros in 1976 but only the semi-finalists back then went to the tournament.
But back to Vokes. He's now won 37 caps for Wales and has today been called up for a friendly against Holland to be played in Cardiff a week on Friday, 13th November.
It's hard to believe that Wales will be in France next summer along with Northern Ireland yet the Dutch won't be gracing th tournament after finishing fourth behind Czech Republic, iceland and Turkey in Group A.
Chris Coleman has named the following squad as their preparations start for France.
