It was a disappointing performance from the Clarets who went into the game on the back of a three match winning run, but it took a stoppage time goal from Portsmouth to win it for them.
Not many players had decent games but Bartley came out ahead of the two central defenders. In the man of the match poll he won 38.3% of the vote and that was some way ahead of Michael Duff who took second place with a 21.5% share.
Duff's fellow central defender David Edgar was the only other player to secure double figures, winning exactly 10.0% of the vote to take third place.
Not only were the same three players at the top of the player ratings, but all eleven players who started the game were in the same positions as they were in the man of the match vote, the only change seeing Martin Paterson just ahead of Chris McCann in the vote and just behind him in the ratings.
Bartley won this with a rating of 6.44 out of 10 with Duff securing a 6.18 rating and Edgar just behind him with a rating of 6.12 out of 10 as the two defenders took the next two places.
The points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year are therefore six for Bartley, four for Duff and two for Edgar.
Those points have really strengthened Bartley's lead at the top of the table. He's move on to 48 points and that's 17 ahead of Jay Rodriguez in second place. Edgar is now in seventh place with Duff now eleventh.
The next vote will be from this Saturday's Brighton game and will be available within an hour of the final whistle.
