He'd been with the Clarets for some time leading having joined from the Burnley Express and he was responsible for the commercial side of the club. He left in July 2006 to take up the position of Chief Executive of Wrexham.
After two years at Wrexham he's now set to return and leaves with the following endorsement from Wrexham chairman Geoff Moss who said: "Anthony has been hard working and enthusiastic throughout his time here and we are very sorry to lose him. He is an incredibly ambitious person and I am fully supportive of his decision."
Fairclough said: "I have enjoyed my time with Wrexham and I feel I have learned a lot in the time I have been here, during probably one of the most difficult periods in the club's history. I wish everyone connected with Wrexham Football Club all the very best."
