Andy Madley is back

The elder of the two Madley brothers, Bobby is a select group official, this will be his fourth Burnley game and it is fair to say that his performance in that Fulham game was by some considerable distance his best yet.

He had a good game, a second from him to go along his performance in the Capital One Cup against Plymouth in 2012. But, sadly, the other game at Derby saw him have an absolute shocker.

Still, that's two good games out of three and hopefully that will become three out of four tomorrow for the referee who joined the Football League in 2011. He's progressed well and gets his fair share of Championship games now, although there has only been one since his last visit to the Turf.

That Burnley v Fulham game was card free, his only such game this season, and in his 23 games to date he's handed out 74 yellow cards and three red cards with the last of those reds back in September. Of those yellow cards, 33 have gone to home team players and 41 to away team players.

His last game was a week last Saturday, the 1-1 draw between Crewe and Fleetwood at Gresty Road. The two players yellow carded in that game were Joe Davis, playi9ng against his dad's team, and Jimmy Ryan.

Hopefully, another game like the Fulham one and we'll be fine, particularly if we get the same result.

The assistant referees are Robert Jones and Steven Copeland (both Merseyside). The fourth official is Football League referee Chris Kavanagh (Manchester) who is still to referee a Burnley game.
