L --> R: Conor Mitchell, Cameron Dummigan, Luke Conlan

For Mitchell it is a first ever call up at this level and he joins our two young full backs Cameron Dummigan and Luke Conlan, who is spending the 2015/06 season on loan at St. Mirren, in the squad.

Both Dummigan and Conlan have already played at this level for their country but Mitchell, who is currently on a month's loan with Sheffield FC while continuing to train with the Clarets during his time with the Dronfield based club, it's exciting times as he steps up a level.

A delighted Mitchell told the Coleraine Times: "It's my first call up for the under 21s and I am really pleased. I've been working really hard to try and put myself in contention for this squad, and it's nice to see it paying off.

"It's always an honour to get called up for your country, and I'm really looking forward to meeting up with the squad at the end of the month."

He added: "The hard work doesn't end here. My next goal has to be nailing down a regular spot in the under 21 squad and long term, putting myself in contention for the seniors. I'm only one group off that set up now, so I'll work tirelessly to keep improving and hopefully stake my claim for a spot."

The three of them are joined in the squad by Shay McCartan who is now with Accrington. All four of them were brought to Burnley by then Northern Ireland scout Stuart Harvey.

The Scotland game will be played at Mourneview Park, Lurgan on 5th September with the Iceland game to follow three days later in Reykjavik.
