The first of the summer signings, Dean Marney, came to the rescue for the Clarets this afternoon against Accrington with the former Tottenham and Hull City midfielder scoring twice.

Sheffield Wednesday's Lee Grant has today signed for Burnley, and brings to an end Brian Laws' summer long search for a new goalkeeper.
