Twenty things about Harry you might not know
Harry arrived at Burnley after I had made my debut. Alan Brown was my first manager but Harry simply carried on with the philosophy of developing young players.
Ralph Coates has nothing but fond memories of Harry Potts and is quite certain that it was his family's neighbourly connection with the Potts family in Hetton le Hole that gave him the confidence to come to Burnley for a trial and his mother the peace of mind that enabled her to let him go.
The 31st August 1946 was a special day for English football. Not only was it the opening day of the season but the opening day of the first season since 1938/39 because of World War II.
