We're ready for MADIHAM II

Last updated : 26 April 2007 By Tony Scholes

Two teams made up of message board regulars will contest the game at Padiham and it should be an exciting afternoon of live football. Spectators will be more than welcome, the bigger the crowd the better, and admission will be free. The only note of caution for spectators is that Big Dave will be at the entrance with his even bigger bucket collecting for Year of the Youth.

The game kicks off at 2:00 p.m. and the bar will be open so you can enjoy a drink whilst watching the game, or you can even enjoy a bite to eat with pie and peas on the menu.

Last year was a great success and we raised just short of £600 for Year of the Youth, these lads, Burnley fans from the message board, all dipped into their pockets to play in a game that was played in the best of spirits, despite some diving to try and win penalties.

Clarets Mad would like to thank Padiham Football Club for their generous offer again this year and also Tony Nuttall who liaised between the North West Counties club and Clarets Mad.

How to find the Arbories:

From Burnley travel through Padiham to the mini-roundabout at the top of the town. Take a right turn at the roundabout into Holland Street. At the end of that street you will see the Hare & Hounds. Turn into Well Street by the side of the Hare & Hounds and the football ground is at the top.
