We're back with Fantasy Premier League Mad

Last updated : 13 July 2015 By Tony Scholes

Last season saw a record entry that enabled us to pay out a total of £685 in prizes which were awarded to the top three and to all the managers of the month from August through to May.

As in all the previous years, the entry charge is £10 per team (£10.60 with credit/debit card or Paypal to cover their costs) and for each of those entries there will be £5 added to the prize fund with the remainder going into the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation.

Again we will be using the official Premier League game. It's proved to be the best available and, one problem apart at the beginning of 2011/12 season, has been absolutely reliable.

It's easy to play too; you select the players who want in your squad and buy them provided they are within your £100 million budget. There are transfers to be made, free wildcards on transfers during the season, and then the decision of team selection and your captain.

Sadly, we won't be able to select any Burnley players this season, but you could buy Jay Rodriguez, currently at £7 million, Danny Ings who will cost you that little bit more with a £7.5 million value on his head, or there's Kieran Trippier, who won me lots of points last season. You can currently buy him for just £5.5 million.

You can select your squad now but will then have until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday 8th August to make as many changes you like before settling on your squad for the opening day of the season with Man United kicking it all off with a home game against Spurs an hour and a quarter later.

It's easy to join. All you need to do is set up your squad, send us your entry fee and on receipt you will receive the code to join the Clarets Mad League.

A full list of entrants will be displayed on Eli's Message Board but you do not need to be a member of the board to enter, it is open to all.
