Clarets Mad to sponsor Harvey

Alex-Ray Harvey
Alex has been with the club for over a decade, playing his way through the centre of excellence to become an apprentice in the summer of 2007. Two years later he won his first professional contract and after what was a difficult season for the young pros he's ready to step that up to try and earn a place in the first team squad.

He's involved with the development squad, but along with Wes Fletcher has been involved with the first team squad for all their pre-season games, getting on to the pitch in four of them.

He's also appeared in the two development squad games at Buxton and Padiham although he picked up an injury in last night's win at the Arbories.

Hopefully it is nothing serious and he'll soon be back out on the pitch edging closer to that first team debut.

We are delighted to be able to associate with him in this way as we continue to raise money for the club via the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation. It is wholly appropriate that we sponsor a player who has come through the youth system and is also a local lad.
