Strikers back to face Fylde Coast's top team

Jelle Vossen is fit to return

I've seen Burnley twice previously at Fleetwood's version of Highbury, both for reserve team Central League games against Blackpool who then used the non-league ground for all their reserve fixtures.

The first of them saw Owen Coyle make his Burnley debut and Steve Davis play at the back but this was a very different Fleetwood and a very different Highbury to the one now that has come into the Football League managed by one ex-Claret Micky Mellon and moved on by another in Graham Alexander who, I am certain, will receive a good reception from the visiting Burnley fans tonight.

He won't be the only member of our 2009 promotion squad on view. Michael Duff will be in the Burnley side with Stephen Jordan lining up for Fleetwood.

Jordan, for one, is looking forward to the game. He said yesterday: "I had three unbelievable years at Burnley so hopefully it will be a good game and it's one I can't wait to play in on Tuesday."

He added: "I obviously spent a lot of time at Man City as a kid but my best three years came at Burnley without a shadow of a doubt. There's not many people left since I was there but it'll still be nice to see some of them."

This coming season will see Fleetwood and Blackpool meet for the first time in the league with the first Tram Derby to be played in November. It's difficult to believe that they are in the same league given that just a few years ago Fleetwood were playing in Conference North as Ian Holloway's Blackpool were preparing to join the Premier League.

But, whilst the Oystons continue to press the self destruct buttons around Bloomfield Road, the Fleetwood owner Andrew Pilley has taken his club forwards at a ridiculous rate both on and off the field.

As for the Clarets, new signing Chris Long will not feature but all of Marvin Sordell, Sam Vokes and Jelle Vossen are fit and are in the squad.

Burnley will select from: Tom Heaton, Matt Lowton, Danny Lafferty, Michael Duff, Ben Mee, Sam Vokes, Jelle Vossen, Michael Kightly, David Jones, Matt Taylor, Luke O'Neill, Marvin Sordell, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Fredrik Ulvestad, George Boyd, Matt Gilks, Stephen Ward, Michael Keane, Steven Hewitt, Tom Anderson, Scott Arfield, Cameron Dummigan.
