 Glasgow Rangers v Burnley

Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow. Kick Off 15.00. 30.07.2016.

Gers boss Mark Warburton speaking ahead of the game said, “We look forward to again welcoming Sean Dyche, his staff and players for what we know will be a very tough challenge but one that helps both teams prepare for their respective campaigns.”

In last season's fixture, Scott Arfield the former Falkirk player scored for the Clarets in a hard fought 1-0 victory. Rangers have added to their squad considerably since then.

Warburton in conjunction with former Clarets' Recruitment Chief Frank McParland have signed the Foxes Joe Dodoo, the much travelled Niko Kranjcar, Stanley pair Josh Windass and Matt Crooks and veteran QPR defender Clint Hill.

If the game needed it, extra spice is provided with former Clarets' Joey Barton and Matt Gilks, now settled in firmly at the Ibrox Stadium and both available for selection.

In stark contrast, Burnley gaffer Sean Dyche has only managed to land young shot stopper Nick Pope and Icelandic international Johann Gudmundsson, both arriving from relegated Charlton Athletic.

Burnley continue to struggle to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League. Multiple offers for Rams' Jeff Hendrick and Seagulls' Dale Stephens have been rejected.

it will be interesting to see if any new faces are at Turf Moor in time to take the bus up to Glasgow with the rest of the squad on Saturday? (TEC).
