We have to find the killer instinct and that killer edge

Sean Dyche has replaced Eddie Howe at Burnley and more recently Simon Grayson was sacked by Huddersfield who have now appointed Coventry manager Mark Robins.

Robins wasn't available ahead of the game, however, and the talking was left to first team coach Steve Taylor who wants them to build on the point gained on Saturday against Ipswich in a 0-0 draw.

Speaking yesterday, he said: "The clean sheet is a good foundation to build on going in tomorrow's game. We have got goals in our team, so if we can keep maintaining our solid defensive performance from the weekend then we will start winning games.

"It's been difficult. We haven't had the time on the training ground that we would have liked. We had a quick turnaround at the start, but over the last couple of days we have been able to work on shape with the lads, which has been good.

"They have responded in training and I think the clean sheet on Saturday was evidence of that. We would have liked to have won the game, and we should have done with the chances that we created. Things are starting to show on the pitch that we are working on in training, which we hope continues."

Taylor added: "Burnley won't launch the ball like Ipswich did on Saturday. They are a team that try and pass the ball. I worked with Kieran Trippier at Barnsley and he is a good little footballer. He will try and pass his way through. He has got great delivery as well so we will have to watch out for him.

"It's going to be a very tough game, but hopefully we can bring something back to Huddersfield with us."

Huddersfield have changed system under Robins and Taylor explained: "We feel that with the 4-2-3-1 formation it gives the attacking midfielders freedom to break lines and get in behind the opposition defence.

"The wide men are important for the system to work and I think they have to be able to beat a man and get at the full back. We tried to pass the ball on Saturday, but we would like our passing to be a little bit quicker. Instead of taking two or three touches can we do the pass first time to make our attacks a little sharper?"

Sean Dyche sends his Burnley team into action having won none of the last five games and he stressed: "We are building our performances and it's important we turn those performances into wins because that's what it's all about, winning football matches.

"There is a clutch of us all in the middle zone and we are all looking to do better. We all want to go and chase it and we are one of them. We want to make sure we are on the front foot and make sure we are playing to win games.

"It's important that we believe in what we are doing and believe in the performance levels but we have to find the killer instinct and that killer edge because that's what wins games."

Dyche added: "Everyone has something to play for. They (Huddersfield) have a new manager and are looking to correct their form. We are looking to get back on track, as we were doing.

"It only seems like a minute ago we were winning four out of five. That's how close the margins are and we want to push those margins our way.

"We have got three out of the next four games at home. We like playing at home and we enjoy Turf Moor under the lights. We haven't won as many games we would have liked in the last few and it's important we go and correct that and that starts with an important game against Huddersfield."
