We don't want them playing under a cloud

New Coventry boss Chris Coleman took charge for the first time on Saturday and got off to a winning start with a home victory over Leicester. "I'm delighted with them, I really am," he has said about the players he's inherited.

"We can't ask for more from the players at the minute. They've got to get to know us and get used to us, as we have to them, but full credit to them. They attempted to so what we asked on Saturday and we got a win and that's all you can ask for."

Coleman opted for a 4-5-1 formation on Saturday with Leon Best as the lone striker and he said: "I think it worked very well for us. There were times when we tried to pass the ball into the wrong areas but that's stuff we need to work on and we will.

"Before Saturday I said that we wanted five wins - another fifteen points. That would take us up the magical 50 points and I think that should be enough. We've got one of the wins which is great and good for the confidence but we now have to look at Burnley.

"They are going for a play off position. They won't take us lightly and they'll probably be favourites for the game because they're at home and having a good season. But I'm sure that after the game is finished they will know that they've been in a game.

"We've got to go there and be brave again and stand up for ourselves. We've got to try and come back with something which we believe we can do and that will set us up nicely for Scunthorpe."

Owen Coyle is hoping to see Burnley get back to winning ways after falling to defeat at Plymouth on Saturday. "Everybody is aware there were mistakes made, but the Plymouth game is behind us now and we have a game to focus on which is the priority.

"You just have to pick yourself up, which we will do, and we will be very upbeat and vibrant and looking to win the game. Every game in the Championship is very important, but this is the game in hand we've got over a few teams and we now have the opportunity to put ourselves right back up there and if we brush up on the little individual errors then I'll settle for a similar performance to Plymouth, but a better result."

On Coventry he said: "They will be boosted and upbeat after their result on Saturday and it makes for a very entertaining and hard fought game. We will be very respectful of Coventry because they have some very good individual players within their team and they have shown they can get results. But I want to show what we can do and impose ourselves on the game.

"It is always nice to be playing at home in front of our own support. We want to make sure we give them a performance to be proud of. Hopefully they will see the type of character that the players are when they bounce back positively and that's what we are looking for, from individuals and the team as a whole.

"We don't want them playing under a cloud. I need them relaxed, out playing to the top of their game and showing the ability that they undoubtedly have. I really believe that if we play to the standards we have set in previous matches then we will win games."
