It's just making sure we don't concede as many as we score

Derby manager Nigel Clough has seen his side scoring plenty of goals at home so far this season and said ahead of this game: "We've got a nice bit of momentum building up at home, a good pattern of attacking play and we're also in a nice little unbeaten run too.

"We've set our stall out already of how we want to play at home this season, which is to get the ball down and attack at every possible opportunity. With the likes of Bryson, Coutts, Hendrick and Hughes we've got players who will create chances from midfield, so we're not going to get in the habit of launching the ball forwards or putting ten men behind it when we go in front.

"We ran the ball into the corners on Tuesday night against Charlton late on and we know we got a few boos from the fans for doing it, but we got the points and the difference was against Sheffield Wednesday and Scunthorpe we didn't do that, and look what happened."

He continued: "Goals haven't been in short supply at all and while it isn't good for the stress levels in a few games this season, we've scored more than we've let in so that makes it all a little more bearable.

"We've let ten in, but we're concentrating on the positives more than the negatives. We could have scored more than 15, and I think we've been good to our word when it comes to have a go at teams because we said that's what we're going to do from the first day of pre-season.

"We've controlled games and been the better side, and the amount of chances we've created has been encouraging. At the other end we've conceded a few goals we could have done better on, but we've not made too many errors defensively."

On the Clarets, he added: "Burnley have a good squad with depth in it, and Charlie Austin is always likely to get a goal up front, so it will be a good game. Both sides can score goals and have proved that this season, so this one probably has 0-0 written all over it.

"In fairness, I think after Tuesday and a few games beforehand we'd take a boring 1-0 win in a way, certainly to get three points and a clean sheet for Frank Fielding."

Jason Tindall was on duty for Burnley and he first spoke about the two players ruled out on Tuesday, Michael Duff and Charlie Austin. "They will have a fitness test this morning and hopefully they will both come through and be available for selection tomorrow," he said earlier today.

"We are thin on the ground when everyone is fit so if we do lose one or two it does make a difference, so we are hoping they come through and are available."

Having lost at Leicester, Tindall admitted: "We are disappointed that our away form has not been great so far this season considering it was so good last year, but we are confident things will turn around and we will get results.

"Hopefully, we can put that right, start quickly against Derby and hopefully come away with a positive result and kick start our away form.

"The disappointing thing from our point of view is that we have conceded more goals than we have scored away from home after scoring at some difficult places. That's an area we want to put right. We feel we are a team that will score goals and has a lot of goals in the side.

"We feel we will continue to score goals at home or away, so it's just making sure we don't concede as many as we score, but we are confident in our players and the ability they possess and we are confident that we are going to go to Derby, hopefully get the result we got there last year and then try and get some consistency in our next couple of home league games."
